About Us

Since 1997, Immersion Research has been striving to build the best paddling gear on the planet.

This position is open at our west coast location in the Columbia River Gorge, between Mount Adams and Mount Hood, with access to one of the best outdoor playgrounds anywhere. Skiing, mountain biking, wind sports, and over a dozen sections of whitewater are all within an hour's drive of the shop.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Repair Technician to join our team. In this full-time position, your primary tasks will involve repairing customers' drysuits and spray skirts, and making custom modifications. You will also assist with customer service related to repairs, helping to ensure our customers' experience is exceptional.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on dry-wear, spray skirts, and other gear.
• Assist customers with repair inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide support throughout the repair process.
• Work closely with our production team to ensure repairs meet Immersion Research's high standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop, keeping tools and equipment in good working order.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Previous sewing experience is preferred, but not necessary. Dexterity, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn are a must.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic understanding of Google Workspace, and the ability to learn how to use new software applications. 
• Passion for paddling and other outdoor activities is a plus, and a perk in the Gorge!
