-MISSION STATEMENT FROM SBP SPONSOR REPORT-
SBP is an itinerant kayak school led by world champs Aniol and Gerd Serrasolses that benefits children with talent and motivation but little means to paddle. The project uses sport as a tool for empowerment and social change and is born out of their desire to give back through an educational program that contributes to the sustainable development of the international whitewater community. The first edition of SBP took place in February of 2018 in Futaleufú, a town located in the northern region of Chilean Patagonia where rivers are worldwide recognized for the practice of kayaking. In this opportunity, the course had 6 participants who were provided with all necessary support to make progress and become ambassadors of the program motivating and inspiring more people to lead a life full of well-being near the river.
Immersion Research has been honored to work with these world-class kayakers. We were thrilled to see the joy this opportunity has brought to the program graduates. When the number of young paddlers grows the whole community grows. We hope to continue to support this vital program for many years to come.
