Employment Type: Full-Time, Mon - Fri
We are seeking a skilled and experienced sewing machine operator to join our dynamic team in Hood River, Oregon. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating industrial sewing machines, have experience working with durable outdoor materials (like Cordura, X-Pac, technical fabrics), and be committed to maintaining excellent quality standards in the production.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of industrial sewing machines
- Work efficiently to meet daily/weekly production targets while ensuring the highest level of quality control
- Inspect materials and finished products for defects and inconsistencies, addressing or reporting issues immediately
- Prepare, and organize materials (fabric, webbing, zippers, etc.) as needed for the assembly process
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on sewing machines, including changing needles and adjusting tension
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Industrial sewing experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, durable goods
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and patterns
- Strong organizational and time management skills who is reliable/dependableÂ
